How a VBC Cigar Is Made

Each one of our premium cigars begins its journey in a sun-drenched tobacco field under the watchful eyes of experienced growers, and only the healthiest plants are transported to the nursery to become VBC cigars. Taking a no-compromise approach to quality is the secret to our unparalleled smoothness, and this begins in the field.

After the tobacco plants have been harvested, cigar experts examine each leaf carefully and classify it as either a binder, wrapper or filler. These are the layers that make up a VBC cigar and each has a very important job to do. Only the finest tobacco leaves are used to make the filler as this is the part of a cigar that delivers its unique taste. Seasoned tobacco cultivators know what cigar afficionados want when they choose one of our cigars, and they take great care to ensure that the filler leaves they select are able to deliver our renowned flavor and smoothness.

Sturdier leaves are chosen for use as binders as they will be wrapped around the filler tobacco and must hold the cigar together. Wrappers are chosen for their texture and color as they provide the finishing touch. The wrapper leaf is the outermost layer and gives a cigar its distinctive feel and color.
